An awesome, secluded spot for a weekend getaway and well suited as a halfway point between Melbourne and Sydney.

So, all the beautiful pictures that they show, thats a small part about 100mX100m, the rest is used for logging.

This is definitely a spot frequented by locals from neighbouring towns and is particularly popular for horse riding.

Incredible. Absolutely stunning. While on the way to Sugar Pine Walk, we came across some wild brumbies. Magical. The walk itself I'd like stepping into an illustrated fantasy novel.

Check your target campsite online to see if it has toilet facilities etc, as they don't all have them. However, if you're happy to do without then you can often avoid the crowds!

And of course, being a state forest and not a national park, it's perfect for your furry friends to come along too!

Perfect place to get back to nature
